Summer Lovin' Read-a-thon Day 5 - Goal Progress & Book Title Scramble

Today is day 5 of the Summer Lovin' Read-a-thon and we're supposed to be sharing our progress on our goals (which I've been doing every day anyway).  I'm pretty sure I said on Day 1 that I'm not so good at goal-setting; and sure, enough, I've veered off the path I set on Monday.  As it turned out, I decided it was more important to read The Copyeditor's Handbook (since I'm working on my first copyediting job) than to get through all of the fiction books I had planned to read.  And then last night I realized that I really should get started on the Matt Archer: Monster Hunter series because I have to read all three books for my review on the 15th and I hate waiting until the last minute to read review books.  So, my original reading goals have morphed a bit, but I'm okay with that.

Goal Progress

Branded (Sinners, #1)  The Copyeditor's Handbook: A Guide for Book Publishing and Corporate Communications, with Exercises and Answer Keys  Slammed (Slammed, #1)  Matt Archer: Monster Hunter (Matt Archer #1)

Day 1: Finished reading Branded by Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki.
Completed Challenges (Introduction and Teaser Tidbit)
Day 2: Read 150 pages of The Copyeditor's Handbook (okay, it's not fiction and technically wasn't one of my goal books, but it's still reading!)
Day 3: Finished The Copyeditor's Handbook
Read 152 pages of Slammed by Colleen Hoover
Completed Challenges (Favorite Female Character & Page 99 Test)

Day 4:
Finished Slammed by Colleen Hoover - This book should have been used for yesterday's post about books that make you cry.  I cried often in the second half of the book!  Loved it!

Read 60 pages of Matt Archer: Monster Hunter by Kendra C. Highley

    1. Yes, I'm really not great at sticking with goals. Definitely not my strong point! :-)

    2. I can understand that! I usually push myself harder if I have goals but that does not mean I always reach them. LOL

  2. I tend to need lots of willpower if I make goals for myself..It often doesn't end well, lol.

But good luck. You're doing great.

    1. Thanks! I'm still happy with my progress since I knew from the beginning that my goals weren't set in stone.
